eSafety Rules
(1) Keep your safety up to date (software updates aim at the correction of security holes, which may expose the users to evil intentions of others).
(2) Install and activate an Antivirus and a Firewall.
(3) Make sure that the websites you visit are safe (https://).
(4) Choose composite passwords. They should contain:
a. A minimum of 8 characters;
b. Lowercase and uppercase;
c. Numbers;
d. Symbols.
(5) Be sure that your password doesn’t contain:
a. Names (your own name, relatives, friends, pets, special places);
b. Important dates;
c. Complete words.

(6) Choose a different password for each platform.
(7) Do not share your account information (username, password).
(8) Do not save your login info in a computer that is shared with other users.
(9) Do not open a suspicious email (pay attention to the sender, check if there are spelling errors and/or links and attachments - do not open it; it can be malware).
(10) Do not give out personal information such as your address, telephone number, parents work/telephone number without your parents’ permission.
(11) Keep your personal info blocked on social media.
(12) Do not accept contact or friendship requests from unknown people.
(13) Do not share with unknown people your pictures or videos.
(14) Make sure that only your friends can see what you share on social media.
(15) Do not identify other people on photos, without their permission.
(16) Turn off or cover your webcam, using it only when it is strictly necessary.
(17) Be careful when downloading/installing software from the Internet as this is the most common way of infecting your electronic devices with viruses, spyware, worms, …).
(18) Close the links and the banners that you can find at some websites; they can possibly harm your devices and jeopardize your privacy.
(19) Use the ‘incognito mode’ of the internet browser, especially if you are using a shared computer or another shared device.
(20) Chose protected Wi-Fi networks. (21) Never forget to respect authorial, brands and advertising rights.
