LTA-Learning&Training Activities - Italy
Closure of the iCulture project in Oristano, Sardinia (Italy)
The week from the 29th of May to the 2nd of June was entirely dedicated to art and cultural exchange, as the mobility of the iCulture project took place at the Liceo Artistico Carlo Contini, in the Italian city of Oristano, on the island of Sardinia.
Guided by art and scenography teachers, participants studied and created three Tableaux Vivants, inspired by three renowned painters: Leonardo Da Vinci, with 'Last Supper'; Caravaggio, with 'The Calling of St. Matthew', and Goya, with ‘The Third of May 1808'.
In addition to the work within the framework of Tableaux Vivants, students presented trailers they had made on the following topics: tolerance, women's rights, peace, multiculturalism and sport and culture. They also took part in a pottery workshop.
There was still time to get to know the region, highlighting the day spent on the San Giovanni di Sinis Peninsula, visiting the ruins of the archaeological site of Tharros, appreciating the landscape and enjoying the beautiful beaches.
Last week in Oristano corresponded to the conclusive mobility of the iCulture biennial project, which, within the scope of the Erasmus+ programme, had as its central objective the application of digital tools to theatrical performance. The five mobilities carried out over these two years have contributed to achieving that objective. The laboratory method chosen to promote non-formal learning, through body expression, music and art sessions, proved to be an excellent instrument for transmitting knowledge and favoured, through cooperation and exchange between different languages and nationalities, lasting friendships and unforgettable experiences.
